About The Eco Buddy Project

The Eco Buddy Project’s was established in 2024 with a mission to reduce food waste on the Kāpiti coast.

Over 4,600 tonnes of food is sent to the landfill annually in Kāpiti alone, producing a lot of harmful methane gas.

We are here to make a difference! We help you reduce your waste going to landfill and make a positive impact on climate change.

Worm castings and worm tea are excellent fertilisers for the garden!

We provide services for recycling of your kitchen waste in Kāpiti. Such as Free Food Waste Drop Off and Corporate Event Collection.

You fill up the kitchen tidy bin and composting bags provided, and we use the food for our worm farm!
