About The Eco Buddy Project<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Eco Buddy Project’s was established in 2024 with a mission to reduce food waste on the K\u0101piti coast. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over 4,600 tonnes of food is sent to the landfill annually in K\u0101piti alone, producing a lot of harmful methane gas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are here to make a difference! We help you reduce your waste going to landfill and make a positive impact on climate change. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this website you will find lots of facts about New Zealand’s Food Waste problem and see our helpful Home Composting and Worm Farming guides. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Worm castings and worm tea are excellent fertilisers for the garden!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We provide services for recycling of your kitchen waste in K\u0101piti. Such as Free Food Waste Drop Off and Corporate Event Collection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You fill up the kitchen tidy bin and composting bags provided, and we use the food for our worm farm!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
